Bhubaneswar, Nov 26: Gopalpur MLA Pradeep Panigrahy’s daughter Smruti Panigrahy appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday. According to the report, earlier ED had summoned her three times but she did not turn up. However, after getting the fourth notice she appeared before ED. ED had summoned her for questioning in connection with the money laundering cases lodged against former IFS officer Abhay Kant Pathak and his son Akash. However, Panigrahy had been arrested earlier in connection with a case relating to alleged cyber offences by Akash Kumar Pathak, son of IFS officer Abhay Pathak. Worth mentioning, in December last year, the ED had begun its probe into the money laundering aspect after the state vigilance unearthed a massive amount of allegedly ill-gotten money and disproportionate assets from the possession of the arrested IFS officer, and his son.
