Poor job opportunities: BJD announces stir against Centre

Bhubaneswar: The ruling BJD today decided to stage dharna in front of all Central Government offices and PSUs on November 5, 6 and 8 demanding job opportunities for youths. The BJD Youth and Students wings will stage the demonstration, said BJD general secretary Sanjay Das Burma in a press conference here. The development came to counter BJP's agitation to lock down employment exchanges in the State protesting the State Government’s failure to ensure job opportunities for youths. “Centre had promised two crore jobs every year. But job opportunities were lost due to demonetisation. The Centre had also failed to come up with an industrial corridor in Odisha in the past four-and-a-half years,” said Das Burma. He said that the party will reach out people highlighting the failure of the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre in providing jobs to youths.
