Police urges people to claim recovered mobile phones

Bhubaneswar, Oct 25: Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Bhubaneswar, Uma Shankar Das today urged people to claim their lost mobile phones. Das said that around 500 recovered mobile phones are lying with various police stations in Bhubaneswar. “We urge people to Whatsapp their IMEI no, phone make model, case reference and name to 7077798111. If any matching is found, we will contact the owners,” said Das. Police today returned around 40 recovered mobile phones to their rightful owners. Earlier in the first week of this month, Commissionerate Police had organised a special programme to hand over stolen motorcycles to their owners. Police had handed over as many as 22 stolen motorcycles which were recovered by Jatni, Khandagiri and Badagada police stations.
