Police makes elaborate arrangements in twin cities for weekend shutdown

Bhubaneswar, April 23: As many as 12 platoons of police force and 100 officers will be deployed in Cuttack and 20 platoons police force and 150 officers in Bhubaneswar to enforce weekend shutdown, informed Police Commissioner SK Priyadarshi The state government has decided to impose weekend shutdown in all urban areas across the state from Friday. The shutdown has been imposed from today 9pm to 5am of Monday. All medical establishments will remain open and movement of ambulances and all medical personnel will be allowed. Movement of the district and municipal administration, police, fire services are allowed. Persons working in emergency services such as medical, electricity, water supply, construction, media, can continue their work by showing their identity cards. Strong action will be taken against anyone who leaves home without any emergency.
