Police DG reviews security for visit of Vice President of India

Bhubaneswar, Mar 30: DGP Abhay today reviewed police arrangements in connection with proposed visit of Vice President of India to Odisha on April 2 and 3. ADGP (L&O), Director, Intelligence, CP, Bhubaneswar, Joint Director, IB and DCsP, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack attended the review meeting through video conferencing. The minute to minute programme and arrangements at airport, Raj Bhawan, two venues, namely, Sarala Bhawan in Cuttack and Vani Vihar in Bhubaneswar as well as route-lining and other security measures were discussed. Commissioner of Police briefed about the preparedness and arrangements at each venue. Director, Intelligence and Joint Director, IB, shared the intelligence in connection with proposed visit. ADGP (L&O) stressed on strict access control measures and thorough anti-sabotage checks. DGP emphasised on full-proof security measures by all concerned while complying to social distancing and all other Covid protocols. 30 Platoons police force and 20 Senior Officers in various ranks are being mobilized for security arrangements for the upcoming visit.
