Bhubaneswar, Mar 31: DGP, Abhay, today reviewed the police preparedness for Pipili bypoll with DIG of Police, Central Range, Cuttack and SP, Puri through video conference. DGP emphasized on the free, fair transparent, impartial and incident free bypoll. He stressed on strict enforcement of model code of conduct and adherence to the ECI guidelines and Covid protocols for police arrangement and security arrangements, including visits of VIPs and VVIPs. He further emphasized on intensifying prophylactic measures including bounding down of habitual offenders, seizure of illegal arms, seizure of illicit liquor and execution of NBWs. Y.K.Jethwa, ADGP, Law and Order reviewed the overall deployment plan and emphasized on enhancing the work of mobile squads and flying squads and thorough checking by setting up check points around the constituency. Director, Intelligence shared the intelligence connected with the poll and urged the DIG and SP to closely monitor the law and order situation.
