Lamtaput, Oct 27: Ganja cultivation worth over Rs 2crore has been destroyed in Lamtaput area of Koraput district, said an official on Wednesday. Koraput police along with DVF, and officials of the excise and forest departments destroyed two acres of ganja cultivation in Kadam village, around five kilometres from Lamtaput. Its estimated worth will be more than Rs 2 crore. Koraput police have launched Operation Green Clean Odisha aiming to destroy ganja cultivation to stop the illegal supply of the banned substance. They have traced the fields with the help of drones. The illegal supply can be stopped in this area by completely destroying the cultivations in Nandapur, Padwa and Lamtaput areas, which the police have aimed to destroy by the end of this year, said Nandapur SDPO.
