Bhubaneswar, May 4: In a first of its kind, the Commissionerate Police has come up with a doorstep FIR service to facilitate trouble free registration of complaints for the residents of Bhubaneswar during the 14-day lockdown period, informed Bhubaneswar DCP Umashankar Dash in a presser today. To ensure maximum safety during this unprecedented crisis, police has decided to launch doorstep FIR service so that people don’t have to go to police stations during the lockdown to lodge their complaints, said Dash. Any citizen can inform the police about any crime by dialling 100 or by calling the IIC of the concerned local police station following which the police will reach the residence of the complainant to register the FIR. Further, the DCP assured that there will be no delay in approaching the investigation into the complaints received from the people.
