New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay foundation of several welfare projects worth Rs 14,523 cr during his Odisha tour on December 24.
Informing this to news men, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said at press meet here that the Prime Minister will also release commemorative postage stamp on the Paika Rebellion on its 200th anniversary and launch a commemorative Rs 200 coin. He will formally launch a research chair in Utkal University for which the Ministry of Culture will provide Rs 5 crore, Pradhan informed.
Besides inaugurating the new campus of IIT, Bhubaneswar, the Prime Minister is scheduled to lay the foundation of permanent campus of IESER in Berhampur.
Modi will also kick off the construction of Rs 3800 cr Paradip-Hyderabad gas pipe line project and Rs 3437 Bokaro-Angul pipeline. He will also lay foundation stone for modernisation of ESI hospital in Bhubaneswar with 50 more new beds.
Modi will also inaugurate Buddhist heritage museum in Lalitgiri of Jajpur. These apart, he will lay stone for construction of six-laning of NH 16 and four-laning of Cuttack-Angul NH which will cost Rs 2200 crore and Rs 2000 crore respectively.
After these entire official programmes, he will also address a public gathering, Pradhan informed.
