Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Sundergarh on April 6, informed Union Minister Jual Oram. The Prime Minister will address election rally in Sundergarh.
Modi is also slated to visit the State on April 2 and address a public rally in Bhawanipatna in Kalahandi district.
Meanwhile, Modi addressed a mega election rally in Jeypore in Koraput district where he appealed to voters to bring ‘double engine’ BJP Governments in Odisha and also at the Centre to usher the development.
Oram is contesting from Sundergarh parliamentary constituency. Though the prominent tribal leader is a four-time MP of Sundargarh, but for the first time he won with a thin margin without any alliance in 2014 defeating BJD candidate Dilip Tirkey. Prior to that in 1998, 2000 and 2004, he had won when BJP and BJD had alliance. He had lost the elections in 2009 when he contested without alliance.
This year, Oram would take on BJD’s Sunita Biswal, who is the daughter of former Congress Chief Minister Hemananda Biswal, and George Tirkey, a popular tribal leader, who joined the Congress party last year.
