New Delhi, June 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a phone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Sunday, expressed India’s deep concern over the escalating conflict between Iran and Israel. He stressed the urgent need for de-escalation and emphasized that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path to restoring peace in the region.
The conversation took place just hours after the United States reportedly targeted three key Iranian nuclear facilities — Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan — marking a significant escalation in the ongoing tensions between Iran and Israel.
Sharing details of the exchange on social media, Prime Minister Modi reiterated India's commitment to regional stability, calling for restraint and a peaceful resolution to the crisis through constructive engagement.
