PM Modi extends birthday wishes to EAM S. Jaishankar

New Delhi, Jan 9: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday extended birthday wishes to External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar. PM Modi also commended Jaishankar’s unwavering dedication to the nation and his pivotal role in strengthening India’s global ties.
Taking to his official ‘X’ handle, PM Modi wrote, "Birthday wishes to EAM Dr. S. Jaishankar Ji. He has diligently served the nation and worked towards strengthening our foreign relations. I pray that he is blessed with a long and healthy life."
Jaishankar replied to the wish graciously, and expressed his gratitude. "Thank you, PM Narendra Modi, for your good wishes. It’s a great privilege to be a member of your team," wrote Jaishankar.
It is worth mentioning that Jaishankar has been serving as India’s External Affairs Minister since May 30, 2019, and represents Gujarat in the Rajya Sabha.
Apart from his professional achievements, Jaishankar has an impressive academic background. He graduated from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi, and holds an M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D. in International Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
His has been accorded with the Padma Shri award in 2019 for his contributions to India’s diplomacy.
He is also a prolific author and has penned insightful books like The India Way: Strategies for an Uncertain World (2020) and Why Bharat Matters (2024).
