PM condoles passing away of eminent writer Buddhadeb Guha

New Delhi, August 30: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed deep grief over the passing away of eminent writer Buddhadeb Guha. In a tweet, the Prime Minister said; "Shri Buddhadeb Guha’s writings were multifaceted and displayed great sensitivity to the environment. His works were enjoyed across generations, particularly among youngsters. His passing away is a big loss to the literary world. Condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti." Noted Bengali writer Buddhadeb Guha died in a Kolkata hospital late Sunday night. He was 85. He died around 11.30 pm due to post Covid complications after a massive cardiac arrest. He was infected with Covid-19 in April this year and had recovered after over a month treatment in hospital. He had to be hospitalised again recently.
