Bhubaneswar, Sep 16: Days after three major political parties—BJD, BJP, and Congress— announced their star campaigner list, now the heavy weight leaders are making strategies to woo voters of Pipili.
On Thursday, ruling BJD leaders held a closed-door meeting at the residence of Labour Minister Susanta Singh, where top leaders of Pipili region were present.
“The Chief Minister has advised holding meetings in small groups. The CM may campaign for the party candidate in a virtual model. BJD will intensify its campaigning from September 20,” Singh said.
We are not overconfident of winning the election and this time we will try to win with a big margin, he said.
Similarly, Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress are also trying hard to woo the voters. Three Union Ministers– Dharmendra Pradhan, Ashwini Vaishnaw, and Bisweswar Tudu would campaign for party candidate Ashrit Pattanayak in the forthcoming Pipili by-election. The saffron party aims to pitch Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s achievements in the last 7 years.
Congress has also chalked out strategies to woo voters. The party has named Odisha Congress in-charge Dr. A Chella Kumar, Pradesh Congress Committee president Niranjan Patnaik, senior leader G Rudra Raju and Congress legislature party leader Narasingh Mishra to campaign for party candidate Bishwokeshan Harichandan Mohapatra.
“ Congress is a strong party. No one’s exit will affect the party. The party is in a good position in Pipili. We will follow Gandhian ideology to woo voters. We don’t believe in buying voters,” said Niranjan.
