Patkura polls: Counting of votes begins amid tight security

Bhubaneswar: Counting of votes of the Patkura Assembly constituency polls began at the Kendrapara Autonomous College amid tight security at 8 am this morning.
As many as 200 employees have been engaged in counting at a total of 18 tables. The Assembly seat had finally gone to polls on July 20 after being postponed for two times. Voting had beem conducted at a total of 307 booths.
The fates of 10 candidates, including BJD’s Sabitri Agarwalla, BJP’s Bijay Mohapatra and Congress’ Jayant Kumar Mohanty, will be decided after counting votes by 2 pm today.
While adequate numbers of security personnel are guarding the area, the entire process of counting has been put under the CCTV surveilance.
