Mathura, Ap 13: A passenger bus travelling from Delhi to Bihar overturned late Sunday evening on the Yamuna Expressway near Milestone 76 within the Naujheel police limits, causing panic among passengers.

Reports indicate that the bus, moving at high speed, suddenly went out of control, leading to the accident. Around a dozen passengers sustained injuries, with several in critical condition. Fortunately, no fatalities have been reported so far.

Local police immediately rushed to the scene and began relief and rescue operations. The injured were transported to Naujheel Community Health Centre and the District Hospital, where medical teams are providing treatment.

Eyewitnesses said the accident occurred due to the sudden loss of control of the vehicle while travelling at high speed. Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.

Speaking to ANI, Circle Officer Sandeep Singh said, “A bus from Delhi en route to Darbhanga overturned on the Yamuna Expressway. Police teams arrived promptly and rescued the passengers. 10-12 people were injured and have been sent for treatment.”

City Magistrate Anupam Mishra added, “A bus going to Bihar met with an accident, causing some injuries. The injured are undergoing treatment at the district hospital. There is currently no risk to life.”
