Bhubaneswar: A fresh controversy has now gripped Ollywood actor and comedian Tatwa Prakash Satpathy, popularly known as Papu Pom Pom over a poster of his upcoming Odia film that shows him holding ropes tied to the neck of seven girls.
The poster depicts the seven girls as mares and the actor as Sarathi.
The scene is a part of ‘Mr Kanhaiya’ film. Now, people from different walks of life criticised the actor and the poster in social media. They have also demanded that Papu Pom Pom withdraw the poster and tender an apology to the women folk at the earliest.
Notably, the premier news channel, the News7, first telecast the “controversial’ poster. Subsequently, the scene has gone viral in social media with condemnations.
Earlier, he also hogged headlines for wrong reasons like casting couch in the recent past.
Meanwhile, ace sprinter Dutee Chand took to Twitter to express her displeasure. “I personally do not like the poster and strongly condemned the concept. The poster is a sheer disrespect to the women fraternity. I request the production house to remove the poster forthwith,” tweeted Chand.
