The pieces of puzzle have fallen into  place . Now it is clear that Pakistan was behind all the rumours that the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir is going to be further bifurcated to change its demography, the simple translation of which is undermining of the Muslim-majority character of the  Himalayan territory.

Pakistan has made it evident itself . The aim of the rumours  broadcast  as something inevitable in the offing was to trigger unrest among the people , disturb their mental peace and stall all the developments, including on the political front . Islamabad is back to its favourite game of stoking trouble in Jammu and Kashmir by fissure creating  tactics  to disturb polity .

The rumours served as uncanny  resemblance  to the events preceding   August 5, 2019, when J&K lost its epical status and  the state was divided into two Union Territories. This time , the word was that Jammu region will get statehood, and the Kashmir Valley would be  bifurcated into  two zones- one each for Muslims , and other reserved for the rehabilitation of migrant Kashmiri Pandits . No one knew from where these rumours had emanated and whether there was any substance behind it . The matters were further complicated when the Kashmiri leaders , including three- time chief minister Farooq Abdullah  said , “ I don’t know anything . They ( Delhi ) can do anything . Only Allah knows what all is going to happen.’. This was on   June 9.  The rumours gathered momentum .

Two days later , Lieutenant  Governor  Manoj Sinha  dispelled all  these speculations as rumours by those who wanted to keep their political interests alive in Jammu and Kashmir.,” and added that , “ many people who don’t have  anything worthwhile to do  are taking recourse to rumours to stir emotions  to mislead public for their own vested interests.”

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi , who is the front of Pakistan’s mischievous policies on Kashmir, has written a letter to the UN President and Secretary General , seeking their intervention  to prevent India, from what he called further  division of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the  selected contents of the letter reported in Pakistani media , Qureshi is reported to have written to the UN about Islamabad’s “ grave concern to the United Nations   Security Council on reports indicating that India might impose “ further illegal and unilateral measures in Kashmir, including  “ division , bifurcation and additional demographic changes in the

Now it appears  clearly that Pakistan  that had  operated in the background  and used the cyber space and overground workers in the Valley to give a shape to the rumours  was bent upon not leaving the things mid-way.  Qureshi’s letter to the UN President and  Secretary General has substantiated  Pakistan’s role in this misadventure that  helps it deflect attention from its own woes and meddling into the internal affairs of its neighbours , including Afghanistan.

Islamabad’s intentions are very clear; its domestic politics on roller coaster. The ugly scenes  in which abuses  were  hurled by the lawmakers and budget books were used as  missiles to target each other in the National Assembly on Tuesday  showed that how fragile the political situation had become it the country . There is a strong possibility of army taking it over from the politicians who have shown little or no sense of behaving responsibly .  This is to distract attention from this possibility , and to claim that Pakistan’s current political dispensation was fighting for Kashmiris , saving them from further fragmentation .

The international community is more worried about Pakistan ‘s role in Afghanistan .  The international community is watching closely that how Pakistan is projecting itself as a peacemaker in Afghanistan and at the same time  encouraging and emboldening Taliban in accelerating the crisis in the war-torn country .

Pakistan is trying to avoid censure from the  international community that is wary of its role in Afghanistan . It  is  having  close relationship with Taliban that is threatening the Afghan regime . It is using Talban as a tool to increase its influence in Afghanistan. The US and the rest of the world knows it , so it is trying to shift  attention from its diabolical game in Afghanistan  by floating balloons of runmours  regarding Kashmir and change of its geography. The UN is its favourite platform where it seeks to air all  the propaganda against India on Kashmir . It is back to its familiar game .
