Padma Shri Haldhar Nag’s poems feature in Gulzar’s new book

Bhubaneswar, Dec 26: Noted Koshali poet and Padma Shri Haldhar Nag’s poem has featured in legendary poet, lyricist and filmmaker Gulzar’s translated poetry collection, ‘A Poem A Day’.

The book of the renowned lyricist features 365 contemporary Indian poems in 34 languages of 279 poets across the country.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik thanked Gulzar for this and said that this is a fitting tribute to the immensely talented Koshali language poet and his lifelong work to promote the language.

Nag was awarded Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award of India by Government of India in 2016. He is best known for his work Kavyanjali, an anthology of English translation of Nag’s selected poetry which was launched in 2 October 2016.
