New Delhi, July 30: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has recommended more than 3.61 lakh candidates for recruitment to Central government posts over the last four years, Union Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh informed the Rajya Sabha on Thursday.

In a written reply, Singh said the recommendations were made between 2022-23 and 2025-26 based on vacancy requisitions submitted by various ministries and departments to the SSC.

He said the Centre has been filling vacancies in mission mode and regularly distributing appointment letters to selected candidates through the National Rozgar Mela programme, launched in October 2022.

"During the last four years, from 2022-23 to 2025-26, the Staff Selection Commission has recommended around 3.61 lakh candidates based on vacancy requisitions received from various ministries and departments," the minister stated.
