Bhubaneswar, Sept 29: The Odisha Secondary School Teachers Eligibility Test (OSSTET) 2026 will be conducted tomorrow by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha.
The examination will be held in two papers—Paper I and Paper II—simultaneously from 9 am to 11:30 am. Candidates have been advised to reach their examination centres by 7:45 am.
A total of 261 examination centres have been set up across Odisha, where 59,353 candidates are scheduled to appear for the test.

The BSE has clarified that the examination will not be affected by the Odisha bandh. The Board president has appealed to everyone not to stop or obstruct candidates travelling to their examination centres.
The OSSTET is conducted for candidates seeking eligibility to teach in high schools across the state. A B.Ed degree is among the minimum qualifications required to appear for the examination.
The 150-mark test will be conducted through OMR sheets. Candidates from the general category need to secure at least 68 marks to qualify, while the qualifying mark for SC, ST, OBC and PwD candidates is 53 marks.
