Cuttack, May 22: Summer vacation of the Orissa High Court will commence from May 25, with Friday being the last working day before the break as the court remains closed on weekends. Regular court proceedings will resume on June 22, according to an official notification issued by the High Court.
During the vacation period, the High Court will conduct vacation courts on eight designated days through virtual mode. Hearings in different cases will be held from 11 am to 3 pm.
Vacation courts will sit on May 26 and May 29, during which four benches will hear various matters. A division bench comprising Justice K.R. Mohapatra and Justice M.S. Sahoo will hear cases, while Justice K.R. Mohapatra, Justice M.S. Sahoo and Justice M.S. Raman will also conduct hearings in separate benches.
Similarly, on June 2 and June 5, a division bench of Justice M.S. Sahoo and Justice M.S. Raman will hear matters, apart from presiding over separate benches individually.
On June 9, a division bench comprising Justice Aditya Kumar Mohapatra and Justice V. Narasingh will conduct hearings. Later, Justice Aditya Kumar Mohapatra, Justice V. Narasingh, Justice Biraja Prasanna Satapathy and Justice Gouri Shankar Satapathy will hear different matters in separate benches.
Vacation courts will also function on June 12, 17 and 19. A division bench of Justice Savitri Ratho and Justice V. Narasingh will hear cases on these dates, while Justice Savitri Ratho, Justice Aditya Kumar Mohapatra, Justice V. Narasingh and Justice Biraja Prasanna Satapathy will also conduct hearings in separate benches.
