Berhampur, April 5: The Ganjam district administration today restricted the number of participants in marriages in view of surge in Covid-19 cases and said packaged foods to be provided during the marriage ceremony.
An order in this effect was today published by the district administration today.
As per the latest order, number of participants in marriage functions has been restricted to 100. “The guest shall be limited to 100 only during marriage ceremony and packaged foods to be provided during marriage ceremony,” the order stated.
In the wake of the spike in cases, the Odisha government has decided to impose night curfew in 10 districts – Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Balangir, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Koraput and Malkangiri districts from Monday.
The night curfew will be in force from 10 pm to 5 am, according to an order.
