One side love: Youth stabs man to death in Gajapati

Paralakhemundi, Sept 17: A youth of Berhampur, identified as Bapuni Achari has allegedly killed a man over one side love , on Friday. The incident took place at Jirang market under Gajapati police limit in the morning. The victim is Ranjit Dandia, son of Ajambar Dandia of Rasibada village. Sources said, Ranjit Dandia had gone to the Jirang market in the morning. Meanwhile,Bapuni stabbed him with a knife. As a result,Ranjit sustained critical injuries.Locals rescued him from a pool of blood and rushed him to the hospital. However, he was carried to the Gajapati district headquarters hospital after his condition worsened. Meanwhile, he succumbed to the injuries. Acting on the complaint lodged by the family members of the deceased, police nabbed Bapuni from the spot and initiated an investigation. During interrogation to the accused, police came to know that, Bapuni had one-side love with the wife of the deceased. However, her marriage was held elsewhere without his consent. Being vindictive over it, he killed Ranjit today.
