Subarnapur, July 25: A unique Bahuda Yatra was celebrated at Manigaon village under Binika block in Odisha's Subarnapur district, where two idols of Lord Jagannath were taken on a single chariot, making the annual return car festival a rare and distinctive spectacle.

Amid chants of "Haribol," the sounds of traditional bells and devotional music, the deities were ceremonially brought out from the Janmabedi and later returned to the Ratna Bedi. Hundreds of devotees participated in the celebrations, joining the Pahandi procession before the idols were placed on the chariot.

Following the ritual, devotees pulled the chariot to the Jagannath Temple while devotional songs and bhajans filled the air. Upon reaching the temple, the deities were taken back to the Ratna Bedi through another Pahandi procession.

The festival stands out for its unique tradition of using a single chariot to carry two idols of Lord Jagannath, unlike the customary practice of separate chariots. In Manigaon, Lord Jagannath is worshipped in the form of Dadhibamana Mahaprabhu, adding to the religious significance and cultural uniqueness of the annual Bahuda Yatra.
