Old woman beaten up by daughter-in-law; sustains bleeding injury, hospitalised

Bhuban, 30/11: A 76 year-old old woman was allegedly beaten up by her daughter-in-law. She was admitted in the hospital by the Bhuban police after she lodged a complained in the police station. {"id":21241,"sizeSlug":"large"} According to reports, Jhuntia Tarai (76), wife of Gokul Tarai, a resident of ward No 3 of Bhuban Notified Area Council (NAC) in Dhenkanal district lodged a complaint that she was beaten up by her younger daughter-in-law Janaki with a water pot. Janaki beat her up following an altercation with Jhuntia’s grand daughter over her urination in the house’s court yard in the wee hours yesterday. As a result of the attack , her right eye lid got injured. Bleeding profusely, she managed to reach the police station and lodged her complaint. Police has admitted her in the hospital for treatment and started investigation on the basis of the complaint.
