Odisha’s BLUIS gets Gold Award

Bhubaneswar, Jan 7:  Bhubaneswar Land Use Intelligence System (BLUIS)-a 5T project implemented by Government in General Administration & Public Grievance Department in collaboration with BDA, BMC, and ORSAC – was awarded the Gold category award on Saturday. {"id":158332,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} Union Minister of Earth Sciences and Personnel Dr. Jitendra Singh, in the 24th National Conference on e-Governance organized by the Government of India, has delivered the award to the Odisha government today. The award was received by Additional Chief Secretary and Agriculture Production Commissioner  Sanjeev Chopra, along with Prafulla Mallik, CEO, ORSAC, Prem Chandra Chaudhury, CEO, Odisha Adarsh Vidyalaya, and  Sushanta Kumar Mohanty, Director of Estates. {"id":158333,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} The project uses cutting-edge technology including satellite imagery and Artificial Intelligence to safeguard precious Government land in the Capital City.  BLUIS competed with 89 high-tech projects of Central and State Government agencies to emerge victoriously. It may be pertinent here to mention that BLUIS was launched by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, on 8 July 2020. While complimenting the Department and ORSAC for the accomplishment, Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra advised having more innovative technological applications for supporting quick and informed decision making.
