Rourkela, June 28: In a gruesome incident, a woman was allegedly beaten to death by her husband over a family dispute in Tangarpali area of Odisha’s Rourkela.
While the identity of the deceased woman is yet to be known, the accused husband is Raising Munda.
As per reports, the incident took place at Hatingtola under Tangarpali police limits when a heated exchange of words ensued between the couple over some family dispute last night.
It later took a violent turn when the man, in fit of rage, started beating his wife with a stick. She suffered severe injuries and died on the spot.
Later this morning, neighbors found out about the murder and immediately alerted the police.
Upon getting the information, police arrived at the spot and seized the body. Subsequently, it was sent for post-mortem.
The cops also seized the accused for questioning in connection with the murder.
Further investigation into the matter was underway.
