Bhubaneswar, July 24: A 26-year-old woman was arrested in Odisha’s Kendrapara district on Thursday for allegedly attempting to murder her 35-year-old lover by slitting his throat, police reported.

The incident occurred on Tuesday night.
 The accused has been identified as Kumari Laxmipriya Acharya, a resident of Adhapati village under the Tirtol police station limits in Jagatsinghpur district, officials said.

An investigation is currently underway to determine the motive behind the attack.
