Bhubaneswar, Oct 27: Odisha Vigilance has appealed to all to join hands to fight corruption for a self-reliant state with integrity. It has also issued a toll-free number ‘1064’ to report corruption at the vigilance office.
On the 2nd day of observance of Vigilance Awareness Week-2021, to make the public aware of the ill effects of corruption and sensitize them to fight corruption in public life for making a self-reliant Odisha, awareness meetings, walkathon, marathon, street play, and rallies have been organized along with distribution of leaflets and pamphlets among the citizens by different Vigilance divisions under the aegis of Odisha Vigilance adhering to Covid-19 protocols.
Awareness meetings were held at Aska Panchayat Samiti, Ganjam, Sabarpali GP under R. Udayagiri Block, Gajapati, Town Hall, Malkangiri, Kolnara and Bairagi Halwa Block under Rayagada district.
Walkathon and Awareness Rallies were organized in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bonei, Deogarh, Balasore, Baripada and Bargarh Town area. Street plays and Rallies were held in Sambalpur Town area, Gram Sabhas at Jagdalpur GP, Bhadrak, Jalsuria GP, Balasore, Sankhabhanga GP, Mayurbhanj, Minia GP, Phulbani, Challanguda GP and MV 79, Malkangiri, Damanjodi, Potangi and Badasarapalli GP in Koraput, Sindhiguda and Kongra GP in Nabarangpur district by Odisha Vigilance in coordination with local administration, NGOs and Self Help Groups.
Distribution of pamphlets to raise awareness among the citizens was carried out in Sonepur and Bolangir Town.
