Rajgangpur, Jan 28: Vigilance sleuths have traced properties worth Rs 1.41 crore of Parikhita Sahoo, Managing Director (MD) of LAMPS, Rajgangpur in Sundargarh district. Vigilance sleuths on Friday have conducted raids at two places including the office of Sahoo on allegations of acquisition of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income. Sahoo was found in possession of assets worth Rs 1.41 crore including one triple-storied building, one plot, bank deposits worth Rs 16.07 lakh, household articles worth over Rs 14.24 lakh and other movable and immovable assets. Vigilance sleuths said that the search process is still continuing. “The simultaneous searches were conducted on the basis of a court warrant and further investigation in the case is continuing. We are ascertaining the actual income of the officials,” said a vigilance official. He also said that the income of the official would be calculated to ascertain the gap between the cost of assets and actual income.
