Odisha: Vigilance traces properties worth Rs 2.63 crore of lady supervisor

Bhadrak, Aug 24: Vigilance sleuths have traced properties worth Rs 2.63 crore of Mallilata Das, lady supervisor, office of CDPO in Bhadrak Block Vigilance sleuths on Tuesday have conducted raids at four places including the office of Das on allegations of acquisition of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income. Das was found in possession of assets worth Rs 2.63 crore including one five-storied building and one four-storied building-cum-shops and three plots at Samaraipur, assets/stock in four-storied building-cum-shops over Rs1.13 crore, bank deposits over Rs 1.96 lakh and insurance deposits over Rs 1.83 lakh Vigilance sleuths said that the search process is still continuing. “The simultaneous searches were conducted on the basis of a court warrant and further investigation in the case is continuing. We are ascertaining the actual income of the officials,” said a vigilance official. He also said that the income of the official would be calculated to ascertain the gap between the cost of assets and actual income.
