Odisha Vigilance raids ITDA assistant executive engineer over DA case

The Odisha Vigilance on Monday conducted simultaneous raids at multiple locations in Koraput district as part of an investigation into allegations of disproportionate assets against an Assistant Executive Engineer of the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA).

Bhubaneswar, July 13: The Odisha Vigilance on Monday launched simultaneous searches at seven locations linked to Sanjay Kumar Kispatta, Executive Engineer with Odisha Construction Corporation (OCC) Ltd., Bhubaneswar, in connection with a disproportionate assets (DA) case.

Kispatta, who had earlier served as Assistant Executive Engineer at the Project Administrator (PA), Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA), Koraput, is accused of amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The searches are being carried out by a Vigilance team comprising six Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), eight Inspectors, seven Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs), and other supporting staff. The raids are being conducted on the strength of search warrants issued by the Special Vigilance Judge, Jeypore.

The searches are underway at the following seven locations:

  1. A rented residential house at Tikra Sahi, behind Mutyalu Maa Temple, Koraput.
  2. A four-storeyed commercial building at Kumbha-I in Koraput town.
  3. An under-construction residential house at Kumbha-II, Koraput.
  4. His parental residence at Lateimunda village under Lahunipada police limits in Sundargarh district.
  5. An under-construction three-storeyed building at Lateimunda village in Sundargarh.
  6. His residential quarter and office chamber in Bhubaneswar.
  7. His residential quarter and office chamber in Balangir.

The Vigilance teams are continuing the searches at all seven locations.

Details regarding the assets unearthed and other recoveries are yet to be disclosed.
