Odisha Vigilance arrests Revenue Inspector in bribery case in Kendrapara

Kendrapara, Feb 27: Odisha Vigilance officials have apprehended Pradyumna Keshari Behura, a Revenue Inspector (RI) from Keredagarh under Rajnagar Tahasil in Kendrapara district, for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 from a landowner.

According to an official release from Odisha Vigilance, Behura had demanded the bribe in exchange for submitting a favourable report in a mutation case. The landowner, upon receiving the demand, reported the incident to vigilance authorities, who subsequently laid a trap and caught Behura in the act. The bribe money was recovered from his possession during the operation.

Vigilance officials are conducting searches at two locations linked to the accused. A case has been registered against Behura under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
