Sundargarh, Sept 22: Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Thursday arrested an additional tehsildar in Sundargarh district on charges of amassing properties disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The accused is Kulamani Patel, additional tehsildar of Tangarpali tehsil in Sundargarh district.
This came after a day after the Vigilance team conducted simultaneous raids on the properties of the accused.
The vigilance team informed that disproportionate assets worth over Rs 5 crore and 28 bank passbooks have been recovered from the additional tehsildar.
The vigilance officials also said that the accused will be forwarded to a special vigilance court after a health check-up today.
