Cuttack, Nov 2: In a tragic incident, at least two minor boys went missing while bathing in the Kathajodi River in Odisha’s Cuttack today morning.

The missing boys have been identified as Om Ayush Barik (12) and Om Prakash Maharana (15), both residents of Bagala area in Bhagatpur.

As per reports, the minors had gone to the Kathajodi River to take bath on the auspicious occasion of ‘Panchuka’ when they slipped into deep water and went missing.

After learning about the incident, locals jumped to their rescue and searched for them, but failed. Thereafter, they alerted the fire department officials.

Upon getting the information, fire fighters arrived at the scene and launched a search operation to trace the boys.

Till the last reports came in, rescue efforts were underway to rescue the two minors.
