Odisha Travel Bazaar 2026 concludes; Over 9,000 B2B and B2G meetings held during three-day event

Bhubaneswar, October 5: The seventh edition of the Odisha Travel Bazaar (OTB) 2026, the three-day B2B tourism marketplace, concluded at MAYFAIR Sanctuary here on Monday.

Organised by the Tourism Department, in partnership with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), the seventh edition brought together 200+ buyers and more than 100 tourism businesses, creating a platform for meaningful business interactions between Odisha’s tourism industry and markets across India and overseas.

The event witnessed participation from 145 domestic tour operators representing 32 cities and 45 foreign tour operators from 27 countries, providing Odisha’s tourism enterprises with access to a wider national and international trade network.

A key outcome of the three-day marketplace was the facilitation of more than 9,000 structured B2B and B2G meetings, creating opportunities for tourism enterprises, tour operators, hospitality businesses and destination partners to establish new commercial relationships and explore new markets.

Odisha’s diverse tourism offerings were showcased through business meetings, destination experiences and industry engagements. The event highlighted the State’s growing portfolio across heritage, spirituality, beaches, wildlife, nature, adventure, culture, tribal experiences and cuisine, presenting Odisha as a destination offering diverse and distinctive experiences.

The Travel Bazaar also provided an important platform for strengthening business-to-business and business-to-government linkages, enabling Odisha’s tourism enterprises to connect directly with travel trade partners and explore opportunities for expanding their business reach.

A dedicated investment-focused engagement further strengthened the business orientation of OTB 2026. Around 40 leading national hospitality brands and 250 State investors participated in discussions exploring investment opportunities in Odisha’s tourism and hospitality sector.

The event highlighted the State Government's efforts to create a more conducive environment for tourism investment through progressive policies, investment incentives, land availability, streamlined clearances and investor facilitation.

The MICE tourism segment also received significant attention during the event. A high-level roundtable brought together policymakers, industry leaders and stakeholders to deliberate on strengthening Odisha’s ecosystem for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions. The discussions focused on infrastructure, professional service standards, policy support and opportunities to attract national and international business events to the State.

During the MICE roundtable, the Odisha MICE Incentive Portal was inaugurated, providing a dedicated digital mechanism to promote Odisha as a destination for corporate conventions and facilitate applications for eligible financial incentives.

The event also placed a strong emphasis on culture, cuisine, crafts and local experiences, reinforcing Odisha’s approach towards experience-led tourism. The participation of Celebrity Chef and Official Brand Ambassador for Odia Cuisine, Shri Ranveer Brar, further highlighted the potential of Odisha’s culinary heritage as an important component of the State’s tourism identity.

The Travel Bazaar also enabled hosted buyers and tourism professionals to explore Odisha beyond its established destinations through FAM tours and curated destination experiences. The event’s pre- and post-event programme included eight FAM tours covering different tourism experiences across the State.
