Bhubaneswar, September 19: Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has cautioned that heavy downpours may lash in several parts of Odisha from today and will continue till September 21. Heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20cm) is likely to occur at one or two places over the five districts of Odisha i.e. Boudh, Nayagarh, Sonepur, Kandhamal, and Kalahandi. On the other hand, Odisha is likely to experience another low pressure over the Bay of Bengal (BoB) on September 20. Under its influence, the intensity of rainfall is likely to increase in the subsequent 72 hours. Worth mentioning, the Regional Meteorological Centre has informed that fresh low-pressure is likely to form over west-central and adjoining north-west Bay of Bengal around September 20 under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over the east-central and adjoining south-east Bay of Bengal.
