
Bhubaneswar, October 23: Odisha will host the Global Energy Leaders’ Summit on December 6 and 7. Former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair and former Finland Prime Minister and TBI Strategic Counselor Sanna Marin among several foreign Energy Ministers will attend the conference.
Ahead of the summit, Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister KV Singh Deo chaired a preparatory meeting to take stock of the arrangements and preparedness of the all the stakeholders.
Being organised jointly by the Tony Blair Institute and the Odisha Government, the summit will witness the participation of eminent personalities from the country and abroad, including former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, former Finland Prime Minister and TBI Strategic Counselor Sanna Marin.
Union Power Minister, Energy Ministers of UAE, Singapore, and Bhutan, and Energy Ministers of all the States of the country will participate in this summit and will also address the session.
The conference will provide a good platform for investment and promotion in India's power sector and will help in building a great Odisha by keeping the economy in harmony with the ecology, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Singh Deo said.
The two-day conference has various sessions. It will also feature a display of Odisha's art, culture and history. The meeting was attended by the Energy Secretary Vishal Kumar Dev, OPTCL CMD Bhaskar Jyoti Sharma, GRIDCO MD Satya Priya Rath. TBI's Vivek Agrawal, Ninad Sagar and Pierre Walsh joined the meeting virtually.
