Bhubaneswar, July 3: Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Thursday launched simultaneous raids at multiple locations associated with an Assistant Executive Engineer in Titlagarh R&B Sub-Division under Kantabanji R&B Division in Odisha’s Balangir on allegations of amassing disproportionate assets.
The accused official has been identified as Dileswar Majhi.
As per reports, a team of the Vigilance officials led by five DSP rank officers, eight inspectors, two assistant sub-inspectors, and other supporting staff are carrying out simultaneous raids at six places on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge of Vigilance, Baangir.
The raids are being carried out at the following places:
- A double-storeyed building in Sambalpur’s Unit-16
- A double-storeyed building
- A market complex in Brajrajnagar, Jharsuguda
- Two housing board houses in Lahandabud, Jharsuguda
- An office chamber in the R&B Division office in Kantabanji
- A government quarter in Titlagarh
The raids are currently underway and more details in this regard are awaited.
