Cuttack, Aug 9: At least three labourers sustained critical injuries after a crane deployed in the expansion work of the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Odisha’s Cuttack collapsed on them today.
The identities of the injured labourers are yet to be ascertained.
As per reports, around 50 labourers were working for the ongoing expansion work of the medical college when a portion of the crane, transporting construction materials to the 10th floor of a building, collapsed on them. In the mishap, three labourers were seriously injured.
Following the mishap, they were rescued and admitted to the casualty ward of the hospital.
