Bhubaneswar, September 27: Train services in Rayagada division have continued to remain affected due to landslide between Maligura and Chhatariput stations. As a precautionary safety measures and also to facilitate restoration work in the affected section, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has regulated services of several trains, said an official release on Sunday.
The ECoR has cancelled services of six trains on Saturday due to the landslide caused due to heavy rainfall.
According to an ECoR release, six trains have been cancelled on September 27, 28, 29 while services of three other trains have been short-terminated or short-originated.
Trains Cancelled
• Train No. 18107 Rourkela–Jagdalpur Express to remain cancelled on September 27 & 28
On September 28 & 29, 2026 following trains to remain cancelled:
• Train No. 58502 Kirandul–Visakhapatnam Passenger
• Train No. 58501 Visakhapatnam–Kirandul Passenger
• Train No. 18516 Kirandul–Visakhapatnam Express
• Train No. 18515 Visakhapatnam–Kirandul Express
• Train No. 18108 Jagdalpur–Rourkela Express
Trains Short-Terminated / Short-Originated
Train No. 18005 Howrah–Jagdalpur Express, which commenced its journey from Howrah on September 26 & 27, will be short-terminated at Koraput. The service between Koraput and Jagdalpur will remain cancelled.
Train No. 18006 Jagdalpur–Howrah Express, scheduled to commence its journey from Jagdalpur on September 28 & 29, will be short-originated from Koraput. The service between Jagdalpur and Koraput will remain cancelled.
Train No. 18448 Jagdalpur–Bhubaneswar Hirakhand Express, scheduled to commence its journey from Jagdalpur on September 28 & 29, will be short-originated from Koraput. The service between Jagdalpur and Koraput will remain cancelled.
“Passengers are advised to check the status of their respective trains before commencing their journey and plan their travel accordingly,” urged the ECoR.
