Bhubaneswar, Aug 9: Two siblings were arrested by Commissionerate Police on Monday for allegedly threatening people with guns for extortion after grabbing their plots. The arrested duo has been identified as Sudeb Martha alias Sukha and Dukhiram Martha alias Dukha of the Jharpada area in Bhubaneswar. According to police, some people had purchased land in the Jharpada area in Odisha capital around 15 years ago. They had just built temporary houses to prevent land- grab. Following DCP's direction, Saheed Nagar police registered a case and arrested the two brothers. During interrogation, it was found that the siblings were used to grab unconstructed lands in Jharpada and Pandra area in the capital city and collect lakhs of extortion money by threatening land owners.
