Bhubaneswar: The new office bearers were elected unanimously in the General Body meeting of Odisha Rugby Football Association (ORFA) held here on Monday. The meeting was presided over by Priya Darshi Mishra , the introductory address was given by Ashok Mohanty , Life member of ORFA.

In the presidential address Mishra highlighted the achievement of Odisha Rugby players both boys and girls at the National and International events during the last many years. Caretaker secretary Upendra Kumar Mohanty mentioned that single nominations were received for the post of President, Vice – President, Secretary, Jt. Secretary and Treasurer.

The papers were placed before the Election Officer, Ratikanta Mohapatra , Rtd . Judge . After Scrutiny, the nominations were found to be in order. Hence the Election Officer declared the names who were elected unanimous for the following posts.

President ( One) – Priyadarshi Mishra, Vice – President (One) – Upendra Kumar Mohanty, Secretary (One) – Susant Kumar Sahoo. Treasurer (One) - Sakti Ranjan Mohanty. Jt. Secretary ( One) – Bharat Sahoo.

They Were entrusted with the duties of selection of 4 executive body members from among the general body.

Ankush Arora , CEO , Indian Rugby Football Association, Ajaya Behera from Odisha Olympic Association attended the meeting through Video Conference. Sanatan Sahoo , OSD , Dept. of Sports , G.O was the observer and Dr. S.R. Parija , Gen. Secy , Bhubaneswar Athletic Association attended as special invitee and Bharat Sahu proposed vote of thanks.
