Odisha: Rs 4053.51 crore excise revenue collected in FY 2020-21

Bhubaneswar, Dec 6: The state government has received excise revenue of Rs 4053.51 crore in the financial year 2020-21 against the annual target of Rs 5250 crore. The revenue collected is around 77.21% of the annual target, Excise Minister Niranjan Pujari informed the state Assembly. Replying to a question of BJD MLA Ramesh Chandra Sai, Pujari said the revenue collection in 2019-20 financial year was Rs 4495.52 crore against the target of Rs 4600 crore, which is 97.93% of the target amount. Similarly, in the 2018-19 financial year, Rs 3925.41 crore was collected against the target of Rs 3800 crore which is 103.30% of the target amount, the Minister said.
