Bhubaneswar, June 4: Odisha on Wednesday reported three new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of infections in the state to 18, confirmed the state’s Health Department.
As per reports, officials are keeping a close watch on the situation and may take more preventive actions if needed.
At the same time, a possible COVID-related death is being looked into, which has raised concerns about how serious the infections are in this wave.
Notably, Odisha reported its first COVID-19 death of 2025 on May 31. The person who passed away was an 85-year-old man from Bhubaneswar. He had tested positive for the virus four days before his death and was receiving treatment at home. He also had several health problems, which likely made his condition worse.
Health authorities have urged residents to remain cautious by avoiding crowded areas, wearing masks, using gloves when necessary, and regularly washing hands.
