Odisha registers 124% vaccination today, single AEFI case reported

Bhubaneswar, Jan 21: The state health department said that Odisha registered 124 percent vaccination on Friday. Odisha registered 124 percent Covid vaccination today as 3,189 more persons got vaccinated besides the target beneficiaries. As many as 16,384 beneficiaries were vaccinated when the state government had targeted to vaccinate 13,195 beneficiaries at 152 session sites. As many as 16,384 beneficiaries were vaccinated by 6 pm today that is 24 percent higher than the target, said a senior official of the health department. As many as 15,247 beneficiaries were administered Covishield vaccine and 1,137 persons were given Covaxin. One case of Adverse Events Following Immunisation (AEFI) was reported, who is a 59-year-old woman, ICDS supervisor of Bijepur in Bargarh district. She had taken Covid vaccine on Thursday. She developed weakness of lower limbs yesterday after 20 minutes for which she got treated at Bijepur CHC and later was admitted to VIMSAR Hospital in Burlla. Now she is well and able to walk.
