Burla, Nov 24: Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla has once again hit the headlines for ragging in the institution after a second-year B-Tech student accused fourth-year students of ragging. The incident reportedly took place in a hostel of the university at midnight on Wednesday. As per reports, the victim was in his room when a group of fourth-year students entered the room and allegedly started abusing him. They also allegedly thrashed him. On learning about the incident, the guardians of the victim register a complaint against the accused seniors. Being informed, police reached the spot and started investigation into the matter. Worth mentioning, incidents of ragging have become a regular affair in the technical university. Earlier, in March, a second-year student had alleged ragging by seniors who reportedly abused him.
