Odisha Police rescues 404 missing children in special drive

Bhubaneswar, Mar 9: Odisha Police rescued as many as 404 missing children in a special drive. The special drive was launched on February 28 and concluded on March 8. Police said that the rescued children included 322 girls. During the special drive, Kendrapara district rescued 44 children whereas Bhadrak rescued 41 and Balasore 38. Earlier the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data has placed Odisha at the bottom as far as the recovery percentage of the missing children in the country is concerned. As per the report the recovery rate of the missing children in Odisha was 27.1% in 2019, the lowest in the country. The NCRB data has also said that as many as 5,503 children remained untraced in the state till 2019.
