Odisha Police collects fine of Rs 25.07 lakh for COVID violations in 24 hours

Bhubaneswar, April 8: On first day of the special COVID enforcement drive, Odisha Police acted against 9400 violators of mask usage and social distancing rules and collected fine of Rs 25.07 lakh in last 24 hours. 136 platoon police force have been engaged in the entire State to intensify COVID enforcement measures. District SsP/ DCsP and other senior officers are leading the drive. Earlier a special 10 days drive for enforcement of COVID safety regulations was launched by Odisha police from April 7 to April 16. Officials said that the enforcement measures will be further intensified in coming days.
